I hope you are all enjoying a lovely spring and taking some time to recharge your batteries and for the things that give you joy. I am pleased to bring you even more interesting content in Canadian Journal of Medical Specialties.
In these challenging times for research and science we can too easily become overwhelmed by things we can’t control. I am grateful to be able to be at the helm of something we can control – access to Canadian content.
The reception to this new journal has been very positive and we hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to share your work with your colleagues across the country. I look forward to other specialty groups joining this unique journal and helping it grow even further.

Our pathology section begins on page 35 with the editorial from that section’s associate editor Dr. Stephen Yip. Watch for an upcoming supplement featuring abstracts from the Canadian Association of Pathologists’ annual meeting. We hope some of these topics will inspire future content here.
I encourage you to consider a submission to our journal. We welcome content that is both general interest and specialty specific. Take full advantage of this opportunity to support Canadian healthcare practitioners and our peer-reviewed publishing landscape.
